About
Saba
Saba Khandani, DDS, is a licensed general dentist who wants to help her patients achieve their best oral health and feel good about their smiles. She is also a lifelong sculptor and painter. She views the mouth as work of art, in which all the parts need to fit well and function seamlessly.
At Washington Square Dentistry, Dr. Khandani offers all types of general dentistry care, including comprehensive dental exams and cosmetic, prosthetic, restorative, and periodontal dentistry. She loves the family and community aspect of working in general dentistry. She enjoys seeing patients, year after year and forming relationships with them as they grow and their lives change.
Dr. Khandani is committed to helping underserved communities. Before joining Washington Square Dentistry, Dr. Khandani did some work in laser dentistry. She collaborated with a dermatologist overseas to help treat cancer patients for intraoral issues that interfered with their ability to eat, drink, and complete cancer therapy. Dr. Khandani has also gone on several dental mission trips to provide free dental services in underserved communities in Fiji, Iran, and Peru. She volunteers at the Oakland Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Khandani is a Bay Area native. She completed her undergraduate degree in genetics at the University of California at Davis and received her dental degree from the University of the Pacific - Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Association.
Personal Interests
When she's not at work, Dr. Khandani enjoys spending time with her amazing husband, hanging out with friends in the city and looking for great live music. She also enjoys traveling, staying fit and taking advantage of all the natural beauty the Bay Area has to offer.
Forming long-term relationships with patients is my favorite part of being a dentist.
